Bin Collections

We may be unable to collect your bins in adverse weather conditions. If your bin is not collected on it's usual collection date, please leave it out and we will return to empty it as soon as possible. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRC)

Grantown HWRC is currently unable to accept engine oil. We will update this when normal service resumes.

Glass Collections

The Council’s contractor Biffa Waste Services is currently unable to empty glass banks in Arisaig, Morar and Mallaig due to the height restrictions on the bridges on the A830 and the limitations on booking HGVs onto the Armadale ferry during the winter period.

While a long term solution is being sought, additional banks will be placed at Mallaig. Alternatively, please visit highland.gov.uk/recyclingpoints for a full list of glass recycling points. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
