Skye and Raasay Investment Plan
Preparation of the new plan
Representatives from key groups and communities on Skye and Raasay are being encouraged to participate in the preparation of a new Skye and Raasay Investment Plan. This work, which is being led by the Council in conjunction with HIE, aims to engage and represent all those with an interest in the future of the area. It aims to coordinate how the wide range of organisations and groups operating in the area invest together and maximise the impacts and benefits. The Investment Plan will identify the top priorities for Skye and Raasay and provide a joint portfolio of actions and responsibilities to help improve the prospects of securing future funding.
We have launched an online consultation to allow people to share their views on the priorities for the area and how they might be addressed. This takes account of feedback submitted through a previous consultation held in January 2021. This new consultation will be open throughout June and the comments we receive will be used to help shape the Investment Plan.
A list of relevant projects has been identified and refined during the process of preparing the Investment Plan so far. Below is the latest version which was last updated at the end of May.
An initial workshop was held on 28 January with key groups to launch the process of preparing a new Investment Plan for the area. The workshop, which was attended by over 60 people that are actively involved in delivering improvements in the area, was intended to gather initial views on the issues and areas that need to be tackled. Both the presentation from the event and the Summary Report can use viewed below. Alongside an online questionnaire was available to gather people’s views on the issues facing people in Skye and Raasay.
We will continue to add information to this webpage when it becomes available.
