A site visit by the South Planning Applications Committee to view Culachy Wind Farm will take place on Friday 11 December, 2015 leaving from Council Headquarters, Glenurquhart Road, Inverness at 8.30 am.  The application will be determined at the South Planning Applications Committee meeting to be held on Monday 14 December 2015 at Council Headquarters, Glenurquhart Road, Inverness at 10.30 am.  

Friday, 11 December, 08.30 amYou are invited to attend and a note of the business to be considered is attached.  Members are respectfully reminded to wear clothing and footwear appropriate to the site and weather conditions.

Transport departs Council Headquarters, Glenurquhart Road, Inverness to transport Members for a site visit in respect of Item 5.1.

9. Culloden Muir Conservation Area Designation, Character Appraisal and Management Plan

There is circulated Report No. PLS/096/15 dated 7 December 2015 by the Director of Development and Infrastructure which presents the final post consultation proposals for the new Culloden Muir conservation area designation and the final draft of the Conservation Area Character Appraisal and Management Plan which were accepted by the City of Inverness Committee at their meeting on 3 December 2015. In line with the Council’s scheme of delegation, the designation proposals also require the approval of and adoption by the relevant area planning committee.

The Committee is asked to approve:-

i. the new conservation area designation and agree the formal advertising and notification to Scottish Ministers; and
ii. the Culloden Muir Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Plan (Appendix 1) as planning guidance to be a material consideration in the determination of any future planning applications within the Culloden Muir Conservation Area Boundary.
