1. Calling of the Roll and Apologies for Absence

Members are asked to consider whether they have an interest to declare in relation to any item on the agenda for this meeting. Any Member making a declaration of interest should provide some information on the nature of the interest and leave the meeting at the appropriate time. Advice may be sought from officers prior to the meeting taking place.
3. Short Term Let Control Area – Post Consultation Report

There is circulated Report No. ECI/36/26 by the Assistant Chief Executive - Place.
The Committee is invited to:-
i. note the consultation feedback detailed within Appendix 3 and Appendix 4 of the report and summarised in Sections 8, 9 and 10 of the report;
ii. note the recommendation of the City of Inverness Area Committee to the Economy & Infrastructure Committee that the proposed City of Inverness Short Term Let Control Area be progressed, should any decision to submit a proposal for designation to Scottish Ministers be taken;
iii. note the recommendations of the Wester Ross, Strathpeffer and Lochalsh, Lochaber, City of Inverness, Skye and Raasay and Sutherland Area Committees to the Economy & Infrastructure Committee that their respective Areas are included in the proposed Highland Rural Short Term Let Control Area, should any decision to submit a proposal for designation to Scottish Ministers be taken;
iv. agree to submit the proposed designations of the Inverness City Short Term Let Control Area and the Highland Rural Short Term Let Control Area to Scottish Ministers, based on the available evidence, consultation feedback and the recommendations of the relevant Local Area Committees and to delegate authority to Officers to:-
a. submit the proposed Short Term Let Control Area designations to Scottish Ministers for approval; and
b. following the decision by Scottish Ministers bring back a further report to the Economy and Infrastructure Committee confirming the outcome and outlining the next steps, including the date of the commencement of the Control Area; and
v. note the resourcing implications outlined in Section 11 of the report.
