Road condition reports for Thursday 05 January 2023 are as follows:

Skye
Posted 09:01 - Road temperatures slow to recover this morning after a cold night. It is colder than forecast for South Skye requiring driver caution on untreated roads. North Skye Primary and Secondary treatments are ongoing. No overnight issues to report.

Sutherland
Posted 08:45 - All routes are being treated today, including footpaths. There is a white frost with a good sparkle on most routes.

Ross and Cromarty (East)
Posted 08:43 – there is widespread frost and ice across the area. All routes are being treated.

Nairn
Posted 08:27 - Negative road surface temperatures and treatment is ongoing. No overnight issues reported.

Badenoch and Strathspey
Posted 08:27 - Negative road surface temperatures. Treatment is ongoing. No overnight issues reported.

Lochaber
Posted 08:21 – Road surface temperatures are marginal and there are damp roads, No problems overnight.

Caithness

Posted 08:18 – Road surface temperatures below zero. Mostly damp roads with the odd patch of frost. Treatments are on-going. No known overnight issues to report.

Lochaber

Posted 06:34 – Road surface temperatures are below zero this morning and treatment is ongoing. No Overnight issues.

Inverness
Posted 06:15 - Roads are icy so all gritters heading out to treat their routes.
