Highland Council is planning to carry out road resurfacing works on Inshes Roundabout, Inverness, commencing on Sunday 17 August 2025 and extending over 6 consecutive nights, from 7pm until 6am.
Highland Council is planning to carry out road resurfacing works on Inshes Roundabout, Inverness, commencing on Sunday 17 August 2025 and extending over 6 consecutive nights, from 7pm until 6am.
To try and minimise any disruption, work will be carried out at times when traffic volumes are lighter. The works are planned to take place after the school holidays and towards the end of the main tourist season (August).
Sunday 17 August – plane out existing road surface in the areas highlighted in red on the roundabout shown below and adjust the levels of any ironwork (e.g. manhole covers, etc) if required.
Monday 18 August – lay new roundabout surfacing in the area highlighted in blue on the location plan below.
Tuesday 19 August – lay new roundabout surfacing in the area highlighted in green on the location plan below.
Wednesday 20 August – lay new surfacing to the approaches on Culloden Road/Old Perth Road highlighted in green on the location plan below.
Thursday 21 August – plane out existing road surface in the areas highlighted in red on Sir Walter Scott Drive towards A9T shown below, adjust the levels of any ironwork (e.g. manhole covers, etc) if required and lay new surface.
Friday 22 August – Replace Road Markings throughout.
Sunday 24 August – Provisional date required should there be any delays.
