Under Council policy, 50% of net income after costs from the Invitation to Pay scheme is returned to the relevant Area Committee for reinvestment in community priorities.

The money reflects income from several Council-operated car parks:

  • Drumnadrochit Village Car Park – £28,557.39
  • Torvean Car Park (MH) – £9,037.44
  • Foyers Village Car Park – £9,916.91
  • Invermoriston Village Car Park – £5,554.69
  • Inverness Sports Centre Car Park – £4,014.19
  • Inverness Whin Park Car Park – -£26.43

These earmarked funds will be used to support projects and improvements identified by Ward members within the relevant car park location, ensuring that income generated locally benefits local communities.

City Leader, Cllr Ian Brown, said: "This funding demonstrates how the Invitation to Pay scheme is delivering real benefits for our communities. By reinvesting income locally, we can support projects that make a difference to residents and visitors alike."
