Corran Ferry service update – 27 October 2025
The Corran Ferry service is operating as normal with the MV Corran as the main vessel and the Maid of Glencoul docked as the relief vessel.
From 30 October 2025, the Maid of Glencoul will begin to operate the service over winter, whilst the MV Corran has its annual refit. The Maid of Glencoul has a smaller vehicle carrying capacity and journey time is a little longer. Passengers should allow extra time for their journeys. No Dangerous Goods can use this service during this vessel’s deployment, and details of HGV restrictions can be found on the Corran Ferry website. Live traffic webcams of the Corran Ferry queues can be viewed here. The live webcams are provided to assist the travelling public in journey planning.
MV Corran underwent significant refurbishment during annual refits in 2023 – 2024, and it is expected that due to the extent of these works, that the upcoming refit should be completed early 2026. Further updates on the programme will be communicated following the MV Corran’s dry dock inspection.
The Foot Passenger Fare will begin to be charged from Monday 10 November 2025.
The MV Corran is operating as normal, and the timetable details and other information is available here.
