The Storr Online Shop Launches
The Highland Council is proud to announce the official launch of The Storr’s new online store on 29 October 2025. This is a significant step forward in our commitment to continuously improve customer experience, expand access to locally crafted products, and deliver services more efficiently.
Isle of Skye & Raasay Area Committee Chair, Cllr John Finlayson said: “Today’s launch is a key milestone in our journey at The Storr. It is about making things easier for our customers, both local and further afield, and opening new opportunities for growth and innovation in our community. We continue to see more local businesses wanting to be part of ‘The Storr’ story and this launch followed later by phase two developments, will support the aspirations we all have to manage the site, support local companies and raise income that is also invested back into the Skye & Raasay community.”
Discover the latest additions to our website, a specially curated collection of products available at a variety of price points. In collaboration with local businesses, The Storr team has crafted bespoke and personalised items designed for the online retail market. Each piece offers a unique reminder of the beauty and character of our stunning region perfect for gifting or keeping as a special memento. We are proud of our ongoing collaboration with local suppliers and encourage other local businesses wishing to become a supplier, to contact us at: thestorr@highland.gov.uk.
This is just the beginning. Over the coming weeks, the online offering will continue to grow, and visitors are encouraged to check back regularly for new product lines. The site also allows customers to book guided walks, access parking information, browse FAQs, and find details about weddings at The Storr.
Corporate Resources Committee Chair, Cllr Paul Oldham added: "The Storr has proven to be a great example of how thoughtful, community-led development can deliver real financial benefits and local employments, while enhancing the visitor experience.
“The site is not only self-sustaining but actively reinvesting in local infrastructure, jobs, and services. This is a model of sustainable tourism that supports our communities and displays the best of what the Highlands have to offer.”
The online store has been designed to be simple, secure, and user-friendly, with full mobile compatibility and a range of payment options. It aims to provide increased access to our products and services, enabling all visitors to experience a wee bit of The Storr, even if they’re unable to visit in person.
We invite everyone to explore the online store and to share feedback to help us to continue to improve, and to best meet the needs of our customers and community. The online store is now live at thestorr.com (external link).
