Badenoch and Strathspey parking income available for community projects
At Monday’s Badenoch and Strathspey Committee, Members were updated on income generated by the Invitation to Pay parking scheme in the area’s Council-operated car parks throughout 2024/25.
The scheme was introduced to Badenoch and Strathspey in 2023 and invites visitors to pay a donation for parking. Income was calculated across three car parks in Grantown on Spey, Kingussie and Carrbridge with £2,546.51 of earmarked funds available for community project spend in 2025/26.
Chair of the Badenoch and Strathspey Committee, Councillor Russell Jones, said: “The Invitation to Pay scheme has been successfully running for two years and I’m pleased to see the scheme continuing to generate income that can be invested locally to support community projects within Badenoch and Strathspey. Applicants wishing to access these funds should apply via the Ward Discretionary Fund.”
Ward Discretionary Funding information can be found on Highland Council’s website.
