Highland Council winter road conditions for 1 December 2025

Skye & Raasay (as at 05:51)

Mild and wet, no winter action. No overnight issues to report.

Ross & Cromarty East (as at 09:17)

Surface temperatures dipped below zero in places when the daylight came in. Salt holding on Priority 1 and Priority 2 roads, but ice is possible on untreated minor roads.  Caution advised until surface temperatures recover.

Sutherland (as at 07:44)

No action required this morning.  No known issues overnight.

Caithness (as at 08:05)

Milder conditions all road surface temperatures well above zero.  No winter action this morning and no overnight issues to report.

Nairn (as at 07:56)

Damp roads with positive temperatures.  No winter action needed and no known overnight issues.

Badenoch & Strathspey (as at 07:56)

Damp roads with positive temperatures.  No winter action needed and no known overnight issues.

Ward 5 Ross and Cromarty (as at 06:22)

No winter action.  Wet and milder conditions across the area.  No overnight issues reported.

Inverness (as at 07:25)


Some low road surface temperatures this morning but salt levels still high.  No winter action, no known issues.

 

Lochaber (as at 08:18)

Wet roads with positive road surface temperature.  No issues reported overnight.
