Tickets are now on sale for the Inverness Highland Games, which will return to Bught Park, Inverness, on Saturday 11 July 2026.
The Inverness Highland Games is one of the Highlands’ most iconic summer events, proudly celebrating generations of tradition, strength and Scottish identity. With roots stretching back over a century, the Games have long been a highlight of the Inverness calendar, drawing competitors, spectators and visitors from across Scotland and beyond. Sitting right at the heart of The Games are its traditional competitions, showcasing athleticism, skill and discipline across four key categories:
- The Heavies.
- Highland Dancing.
- Piping.
- Track and Field.
Visitors can expect thrilling contests including the caber toss and hammer throw alongside massed pipe bands and Highland dancing competitions. And, beyond the competitions visitors can enjoy a full day of LIVE MUSIC (curated by fiddler, broadcaster and founder of Blazin' Fiddles, Bruce MacGregor) HERITAGE, delicious food, FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT and a local CRAFT MARKET, all set against the backdrop of Inverness.
Hospitality packages will be available again this year within the newly refurbished suites at Bught Park. These premium packages offer guests an enhanced Games experience, lunch, drinks and a birds eye view of The Games.
Organisers have also confirmed that the Evening Ceilidh will return by popular demand, extending the celebrations into the night. Tickets for the ceilidh will go on sale in the coming weeks, with high demand expected following its successful return.
