New date for Fanellan Substation application site visit

A new date has been set for the planning application site visit - 25/00826/FUL: Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission Plc (Fanellan Substation - construction and operation of a 400kV substation and converter station and associated infrastructure, site access, landscaping and demolition works at Land 300m NW of Fanellan Farmhouse, Kiltarlity).

The application was considered at a Pre-Determination Hearing of the Council’s South Planning Applications Committee on 18 December 2025.

The Committee agreed to defer consideration of the proposal subject to a site inspection, originally scheduled on 8 January.

Due to the weather conditions and forecast and to ensure that the health and safety of all participants is taken into consideration, the site inspection has been re-scheduled for Monday 19 January 2026.

The application will then be determined at the scheduled South Planning Applications Committee meeting on 5 February 2026.
