The Maid of Glencoul has returned to service this morning (Sunday 22 February), following repair.

The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) sourced the required part yesterday, and it was successfully fitted and tested early this morning, ahead of the indicative timeframe shared with the public yesterday.

The Maid of Glencoul is operating as normal, and the timetable details and other information is available here.

Please note that the Maid of Glencoul (the relief vessel for the MV Corran) has shorter, steeper ramps, a smaller vehicle carrying capacity and a slightly longer crossing time than the MV Corran.  Passengers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys.  During this period, Dangerous Goods cannot be transported, and details of HGV restrictions are available on the Corran Ferry website.

Live traffic webcams of the Corran Ferry queues can be viewed here to assist with journey planning.

Real-time service updates can be found via @CorranFerry on X (Twitter) and on Facebook.

MV Corran annual refit update - The MV Corran’s scheduled refit was completed at the end of January.  However, parts lead-times for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) repairs continue to delay her return to service.  The next scheduled overhaul of the Maid of Glencoul is at the beginning of March.  Every effort is being made by OEM to ensure that the MV Corran returns before then, however it is possible that she could be delayed beyond that date. If this is the case, an application will be made for a temporary extension to the Maid of Glencoul’s Passenger Ship Safety Certificate.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience while we worked to resolve the fault as quickly as possible.
