Passengers travelling on the Council’s Service 16 Park & Ride route can now enjoy a 10% discount at the Inverness Castle Experience Saltire Bistro.

The new Park & Ride service – operating Monday to Saturday – runs from Torvean Car Park into the city centre, stopping at Castle Street, just a short walk from the recently opened Inverness Castle Experience.

To redeem the discount, passengers simply need to present their Service 16 bus ticket to staff at the Saltire Bistro.

Ali MacDonald, Bus Operations Manager for Highland Council, said: “The new Park & Ride service offers a smarter way to visit the Inverness Castle Experience, especially with parking at the Castle being limited. By taking the bus, passengers can make the most of the discounted offer while also helping to cut emissions and reducing congestion in the city centre.  With the route stopping just a short walk from the Inverness Castle Experience, this partnership with High Life Highland makes the journey more convenient, more enjoyable, and better connected for residents and visitors alike."

This week, local residents will also see the Council’s new double decker bus, complete with eye catching Inverness Castle branding, operating on routes across the city. The Service 16 bus runs regularly throughout the day, Monday to Saturday, with the full timetable available on the Council’s website:  https://www.highland.gov.uk/downloads/download/10/highland-council-bus-service-timetables

Park & Ride offers a convenient and stress-free way to travel into Inverness, helping residents and visitors avoid city centre congestion while reducing the need for parking in busy areas.  By leaving the car at Torvean and completing the journey by bus, passengers can enjoy a quicker, smoother trip into the heart of the city.
