The MV Corran was withdrawn from service on Thursday 12 March after developing technical issues with its forward propulsion unit.

The Maid of Glencoul relief vessel will remain in operation until next week while repairs are completed on the MV Corran ferry.

Specialist engineers from Voith were on site to carry out repairs last week, and over the weekend further assembly parts were needed to complete the repairs.

These have now been sourced, and engineers are due to return on Monday 30 March to complete the repairs.

The Maid of Glencoul will continue to cover the route, operating to the normal timetable, until the MV Corran ferry returns.

Passengers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys, as the Maid of Glencoul has a smaller vehicle capacity and a slightly longer crossing time.

We apologise for any disruption this causes.

Real‑time service information is available via @CorranFerry on X, the Corran Ferry Facebook page, and the Corran Ferry website.
