Drivers are being advised of temporary road restrictions across Inverness-shire to support the safe delivery of the Highland Cross 2026 event.
A reminder that for the Highland Cross event taking place tomorrow, (Saturday 20 June 2026) the Fasnakyle Brae road will be closed from 11.00 until 17.00. There will also be restrictions in place at Beauly Square.
A number of other roads have been granted Traffic Orders so will have temporary restrictions in place as and when required during the event.

A862 Ardullie – Dingwall – Beauly – Inverness Road, between its junction with the A831 Drumnadrochit – Cannich – Beauly Toll Road and its junction with the U2288 Mid Street, Beauly, from 12:45 hours to 18:30 hours on Saturday 20 June 2026.
A831 Drumnadrochit – Cannich – Beauly Toll Road, between its junction with the A862 Ardullie – Dingwall – Beauly – Inverness Road and its junction with the U1480 Altyre Road, from 12:45 hours to 18:00 hours on Saturday 20 June 2026.
Road to be restricted to traffic movements in one direction only (south to north):
U4929 Ault A Chruinn – Carn Gorm – Morvich
Loop Road, Inverinate, Kyle of Lochalsh, between its southernmost junction with the A87 Invergarry – Kyle of Lochalsh – Borve – Uig Trunk Road and its northernmost junction with the A87, from 08:00 hours to 11:00 hours on Saturday 20 June 2026.
Temporary no waiting at any time restriction (applies from 6am to 7pm on Saturday 20 June 2026)
