Drop-in sessions will take place in Aviemore and Nethy Bridge next week to provide information, advice and support to residents and businesses affected by the wildfire in the Cairngorms National Park.
The sessions will bring together staff from The Highland Council and NHS Highland to offer practical guidance on a range of issues, including housing, welfare support, benefits, crisis grants, foodbanks, health and wellbeing and business support.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service will be in attendance to provide reassurance, offer fire safety advice, and share information on home fire safety visits. The Cairngorms National Park Authority will also attend to help answer any questions people may have.
The drop-in sessions have been organised in response to feedback from local communities and will take place on the following days:
- Tuesday 4 August, 10am to 12.30pm, MacDonald Aviemore Resort.
- Tuesday 4 August, 2pm to 5pm, Nethy Bridge Hotel.
- Wednesday 5 August, 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm, MacDonald Aviemore Resort.
