The Highland Children’s Services Partnership will be hosting a free family fun day at the Northern Meeting Park in Inverness on Monday 10 August 2026.
The Vision 2029 event builds on the success of previous Vision 26 gatherings which brought professionals together. It is organised by the Children’s Service Partnership Board to support children and families across Highland through the community planning partnership.
Ian Kyle, Chair of the Children’s Service Partnership Board said:
“I hope that many families with young children will come along to this fantastic event in Inverness. The Children’s Service Partnership Plan 2026 - 29 was developed by the Children’s Service’s Partnership Board and is an ambitious plan to strengthen links across our communities and which aims to provide much-needed support for families. I’m delighted that so many organisations and partners have been able to come together to support families throughout Highland and can now celebrate their achievements with our communities.”
Families with children of any age can take part in the event which takes place from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm and offers free fun activities including Giant Jenga, parachute games and balance bikes. Outdoor play activities will take place in Northern Meeting Park. Baby massage sessions will also be available from 11am and free goodie bags are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Highland’s new three-year Children’s Services Partnership Plan 2026 - 29 will be launched as part of the event to support children, young people and families with commitments in six key areas – poverty, child protection, corporate parenting, drugs and alcohol, health and wellbeing, and children’s rights and participation. The Vision 29 event is a chance to celebrate this work with families and the wider community.
