Postal ballot papers for the contested Latheron, Lybster and Clyth Community Council were posted out yesterday (Monday 21 September). The Highland Council is reminding voters that ballot papers need to be completed and returned as soon as possible to arrive by the deadline of 12 noon on Thursday 8 October 2026 in the pre-paid envelope provided.
Candidates standing were invited to submit a statement to support their candidacy and any statements received are provided in the envelopes mailed out along with the ballot papers to all eligible voters.
Community Councillors shall be elected on a simple majority basis. The successful candidates will be those with the highest number of votes, with the number equalling the number of vacancies.
