- Designated off-street permit holder car parks
Visitor permits are available for guests.
Business and business visitor permits

Season tickets
Prepaid permits for long-stay parking in council car parks:
- Highland Parking Season Ticket (HPST): Valid in all designated long-stay car parks

A season ticket does not guarantee a parking space.
Trades permits
For tradespeople such as decorators, plumbers, and installers who need extended parking near work sites. These permits support vehicles used as mobile work bases.
To obtain a trades permit, you must:
- Complete the Traders’ application form.
- Upload the form when you apply for a permit.
The Traders’ application form is not a permit itself; it must be submitted with your other documents as part of your permit application.
Essential user permits
The essential user permit is currently unavailable. Further information will be published once the scheme is ready to launch.
Resident visitor parking vouchers
An alternative to the annual visitor permit, each voucher book includes:
- Ten scratch cards
- Each card permits 3 hours of visitor parking in a permit bay
Contract parking
Reserved bays in off-street car parks available on a contract basis.
Glenmore Resident Permit
The Glenmore resident permit is currently unavailable. We are finalising the scheme, and further details will be published shortly.
In the meantime, eligible residents can provide their vehicle registration number and address to Parking Services by calling 01463 239786 to receive a dispensation from parking restrictions for up to two weeks. We expect the permit system to be fully operational during this period.
