Documents from 2010 onwards may be available online for free If the documents are unavailable online, you can request copies from us.
Documents available free of charge
Who can request building standards documents
To request building standards documents, you must be a:
- current or prospective owner
- occupier
- tenant
This applies to the building in question or any building directly attached to it.
Restrictions for non-household properties
We cannot provide documents for business or industrial properties if sharing them could pose a security risk. This includes properties like:
- prisons
- banks
- building societies

All copies of documents will be emailed, wherever possible. Printing and postage costs may apply.
