CC6 - Application for adoption
Provide 1 paper copy and 1 electronic copy (in agreed CAD format, preferably AutoCAD® .dwg) of all plans:
- plans showing the extent of the adopted road in colour, including verges, footpaths, and cycleways. Note: Plan must use an Ordnance Survey background.
- all as-built plans showing:
- carriageways, footways, footpaths, cycleways, service strips, and surface water drainage
- all SuDS features and details of future maintenance responsibilities (Roads Authority, Scottish Water and developer)
- as-built plans of services showing things like location, road crossings and ducts in relation to fixed road features
- CCTV survey of the surface water drainage system
- Road Safety Audit
How to submit
Use the Post Submission Additional Documents form on the ePlanning Portal, quoting your RCC reference number (example: 17/00001/RCC).
You must also post paper copies and electronic CAD files (on disc) to the eProcessing team.
If you cannot submit via the portal, you may post a paper copy of the completed form to the eProcessing team.
If you have already submitted these documents within the last 28 days as part of a Road Construction Consent process, you can refer to them in Table B. However, you must ensure 1 paper copy and 1 electronic copy of each drawing have been provided, or your adoption application will be rejected.
Guidance for inspections
If a further inspection of completed works is required before adoption the:
- developer may suggest dates for the inspection
- final date will be decided by Area Roads staff and may differ from suggested dates
Guidance for road descriptions
Your road description should include:
- the extent of the road
- direction and road type
- any remote footpaths and cycle tracks to be adopted
