Using iPayimpact
If you pay your childs school meals using their Unique Reference Number (URN), payments will be made through iPayimpact.
To do this, you will need to create a mygovscot myaccount.
mygovscot myaccount
mygovscot myaccount is a secure online account that provides access to a range of Scottish public services using one username and password.
Once you have created a myaccount, you can use it to sign in to School Meal Payments and other participating services without needing separate login details for each service.
Creating a mygovscot myaccount
If you do not already have a mygovscot myaccount you will need to:
- create an account
- use your own details, not your child's
Once your account has been created, you can sign in to iPayimpact using your myaccount credentials.
Linking your child's account
To link your child's school meal account, sign in to iPayimpact and follow the on-screen instructions.
You will need your child's Unique Reference Number (URN) to complete the process.

Managing your child's account
Once your child's account has been linked, you can:
- add money to your child's account
- check the account balance
- view recent meal purchases
- view payment history
- read any account messages
To top up your child's account, enter the amount you wish to pay and add it to your basket. You can review or amend the amount before proceeding to checkout and completing your payment.
If your child receives free school meals, their school meal account is automatically topped up each school day.
