Report illegal sales of age-restricted products

It is illegal to sell age-restricted products to anyone under the legal age. These include:

  • cigarettes and tobacco
  • fireworks
  • alcohol
  • vapes
  • knives
  • lottery tickets

If a trader sells these products to someone underage, they could be fined or prosecuted.

If you think someone is selling age-restricted products to young people, let us know by reporting the matter to Consumer Advice Scotland.
