Living in your community

Being a good neighbour

Everyone has different lifestyles, routines and backgrounds.

Being a good neighbour means showing respect, keeping noise to a minimum, and being considerate of others.

You should:

  • treat neighbours with respect and courtesy
  • avoid loud music, shouting or noisy appliances late at night
  • keep shared areas clean and tidy
  • say hello and get to know your neighbours if you feel comfortable doing so
