If you are a Highland Council tenant, you must get our written permission before making any changes or improvements to your home.
What you need permission for
You must apply if you want to:
- alter, improve or enlarge your home or its fixtures
- add new fixtures or fittings, such as:
- kitchens or bathrooms
- central heating or fixed heaters
- stoves or fires
- CCTV or electrical supplies
- double glazing
- external aerials or satellite dishes
- new light fittings
- external Christmas decorations
- put up a garage, shed, conservatory or other structure
- decorate the outside of your home
- lay a new driveway
- lay wooden or laminate flooring
This is not a complete list, you should always check before making changes.
