Make an application
You are responsible for:
- getting planning permission or a building warrant, if needed
- getting permission for changes to pavements or roads
- making sure the work does not cause disruption to neighbours or block public paths
- avoiding damage to fences, gates, paths or underground services
- repairing any damage caused by the work
- removing any additions and restoring the property at the end of your tenancy
We may charge you for any costs we have to pay because these rules were not followed.
What to expect
- we will not refuse permission without good reason
- we may set conditions about the standard of work and who carries it out
- we may visit your home to discuss your plans or inspect the work
