After you apply
When we assess your application, we consider:
- the shortfall between your rent and your benefit
- any steps you have taken to reduce your rent
- your financial and medical circumstances (including disabilities)
- your income, outgoings, savings, and debts
- any exceptional circumstances
- the risk of eviction or homelessness
- the impact on other agencies or Council services
- any other relevant information
