War Widow’s or Widower’s Pension
You may be eligible for this pension if your partner’s death was caused by their service in the Armed Forces. You may also qualify for assistance with funeral costs if the death was due to service before 6 April 2005 and certain conditions apply.
The amount you receive depends on your partner’s rank, age, and whether there are children to support. If your circumstances change, such as remarriage or living with a new partner, your entitlement may be affected.
