Your registrar will issue:
- an abbreviated birth certificate (extract) free of charge. Full certificates (extracts) can be purchased at the time or later
- a National Health Service in Scotland Healthcare for your baby (Form EC58), free of charge, which should be used to register the child with the NHS
You can choose to collect your certificates from the Registration Office or have them posted to you 1st Class Royal Mail.
