How to register a stillbirth
If a stillbirth happens in Scotland, it must be registered within 21 days. You can do this at any Registration Office in Scotland.
We will, where possible, arrange a telephone appointment for you. You will not need to attend the office in person.
Before we can register the stillbirth, the Certificate of Stillbirth (Form 6) must be completed by the hospital and emailed to the Registration Office.
