Site inspection requirements
Once you have your building warrant, you can start work. But there are still things you need to do while the work is happening.
Keep your documents safe
You must keep a copy of your building warrant on site. Your builder or contractor should be able to see it at any time. Keep any approved plans and drawings with the warrant.
Tell us when work starts
Before you begin work, log in to the eBuilding Standards portal and submit a “start of work” notice.
Request a site inspection
We may need to inspect the work at different stages. We will tell you which stages need to be checked.
