How to pay your building warrant and related applications

You can pay your building warrant fee online or separately after submitting your application. We recommend paying at the time of submission.

The quickest way to pay is through the eBuildingStandards website when you submit your application. If you include all required information, this helps validate your application faster.

If you need to pay separately, you can use one of the following options. We cannot validate your application until your payment has been matched to it.

We do not accept cash or cheques.

Pay by phone

To pay by credit or debit card, call our Service Centre on 01349 886605 (Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm)

Pay in person

Visit a Service Point

If you already have an application number, quote it when paying. If not, keep the receipt number and include it on your warrant form so we can match your payment.

You can pay by bank transfer using the following details:

Include one of the following references with your payment:

  • Your application or online reference number
  • Quote 'BW Applic' and your surname.
  • If applying on behalf of someone else, use the applicant's surname
  • If you do not have a reference number, include a contact phone number

Send proof of payment to:

  • By post: eProcessing centre, The Highland Council, Headquarters, Glenurquhart Road, Inverness, IV3 5NX

If we do not receive proof of payment, your application may be delayed.
