Apply to install a headstone
You can only install a headstone on a burial plot (also known as a lair) if the Right of Burial has been granted and paid in full.
To apply:
- Contact a stonemason accredited by The National Association of Memorial Masons (NAMM), British Register of Accredited Memorial Masons (BRAMM) or an equivalent scheme
- Get our permission before installation
- Pay the fee for foundation and excavation
All inscriptions must be approved by us and follow our current guidelines.
Memorials must not cover any part of the lair needed for future burials.
