Screening report and determination
SEA process
We carried out a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) as part of preparing the Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategy (LHEES) and Delivery Plan. This process helps assess potential environmental impacts and ensures legal compliance.
Screening Report submission
As part of the SEA process, we submitted a Screening Report on 11 July 2023 to the Consultation Authorities:
- Historic Environment Scotland
- NatureScot
- the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA)
Environmental impact review
We reviewed the Strategy and Delivery Plan against the criteria in the Act. This helped us assess the significance of any environmental impacts.
Determination outcome
We determined that a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) will not be required for the Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategy and Delivery Plan.
