Publicity guidelines
If you receive Common Good Funding, you must show this clearly in your publicity materials. This helps people understand how the fund supports local projects.
You can do this by:
- using the Common Good Fund logo
- including a short sentence that mentions the fund
Wording to use
You should include this sentence in your publicity:
“This project has been supported by the [insert name of area] Common Good Fund”
Where to use the logo and wording
You must include the logo and wording in:
- press releases and advertorials
- promotional materials like leaflets, posters, brochures and websites
- signs and plaques
- event invitations and displays
If you are not sure how to use the logo, contact your Ward Manager for advice.
Signs and plaques
If your project involves construction or a physical space, you must:
- display a temporary sign during construction showing Common Good Fund support
- install a permanent plaque in a visible place once the project is finished
Events
If your project includes a public event, you should:
- display a sign with the Common Good Fund logo
- include the logo or wording in invitations
- invite appropriate Highland Council representatives to attend
Ask your Ward Manager for help with who to invite.
Using Gaelic
We support the use of Gaelic language and culture. You should include Gaelic in:
- press releases
- promotional materials
- signs and plaques
This applies especially to projects funded by the Inverness Common Good Fund.
