Senior Electoral Administrative Assistant
Salary: £28,373.07 - £32,972.58 per annum

We invite applications for this full-time, permanent position based at the Board’s headquarters at Moray House, 16-18 Bank Street, Inverness.
The Highland and Western Isles Valuation Joint Board is an independent public authority established under The Valuation Joint Boards (Scotland) Order 1995.
We provide professional valuation and electoral registration services for Highland and Western Isles, including the maintenance of the Valuation Roll, Council Tax Lists, and Registers of Electors.
The role involves performing a wide range of administrative duties to support the electoral registration team in Inverness, reporting to the Electoral Team Leader.
You must be able to meet strict deadlines, adapt to ongoing changes, and manage conflicting demands. The role includes supervising staff and providing high-quality training and coaching. Electoral registration work is carried out across offices in Inverness, Wick, and Stornoway. You must be able to work remotely as part of a team, ensuring tasks are allocated and completed according to set routines and procedures. Knowledge of electoral legislation would be advantageous.

Salary: £33,900.05 - £37,159.83 per annum (pay award pending)

We provide a professional valuation and electoral registration service for both Highland and Western Isles areas in respect of compilation and maintenance of the Valuation Roll, Valuation (Council Tax) Lists, and Registers of Electors.
The job purpose is to provide high level, effective and efficient admin and secretarial support to the senior management team. The role will be a key role within the organisation and will allow the senior management team to focus on strategic priorities.
You will be expected to work to strict deadlines, with the ability to adapt to constant changes and conflicting demands. You should be an excellent team player, with an ability to show diplomacy and tact. You will deal with matters of a highly confidential nature and will work on your own initiative. You will be expected to supervise a small team and allocate work accordingly.
You will contribute towards continuous service improvement and assist with organisational activities.
You will be required to undertake a basic Disclosure check.
