Highland Reuse and Repair Fund - Grants

Closing date

Round 2 will open on Thursday, 2 April 2026. Applications must be submitted by 12 noon on Friday, 22 May 2026.

A further round is planned for later in 2026.  Details will be provided at a later date. 

Purpose

This grant scheme supports community projects that reduce waste, promote reuse and repair, and help build a circular economy.

Eligibility

You can apply for funding between £2,000 and £50,000 if you are part of a:

  • constituted community group
  • public sector body
  • charity
  • voluntary or social enterprise
  • co-operative or community ownership initiative
  • development trust
Guidance

Examples of eligible projects include:

  • setting up repair cafés, reuse hubs or upcycling workshops
  • running community swap or reuse events
  • delivering creative upcycling or circular economy projects
  • hosting sustainable living workshops
  • creating community tool libraries or resource hubs
  • sharing traditional skills through intergenerational learning

Examples of ineligible projects:

  • projects that focus on recycling such as collection of metal cans for recycling 
  • community compost schemes
