Description
The Energy Company Obligation 4 Flexible Eligibility (ECO Flex) and Great British Insulation Scheme Flex (GBIS Flex) provides external funding to domestic properties to undertake energy efficiency upgrades.  Both external funding streams are designed to support householders in fuel poverty, on low income and vulnerable to cold. When you apply through the installers, your data is forwarded to The Highland Council so that your application can be assessed for eligibility.
 
The following information is passed to the council to establish eligibility: 
 
• Your name, address, and in some cases your date of birth (so we can check you are eligible for the scheme); 
• Proof of identity (which may be collected to evidence a supporting component or for eligibility evidence); 
• Copies of documents showing proof of benefits and/or income supplied to you by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and HMRC (this will be limited to information showing you are eligible for the scheme); 
• Your phone number and/or email address (so you can be contacted as necessary for the purpose outlined in this notice)
If you do not give us your information

Your data is passed to the council by the Installer. In order to process your application, by providing consent to the Installer, you are agreeing for your data to be forwarded to the council to assess your eligibility for the scheme. 

Conditions for processing personal information

Public task - Article 6 (1)(e) the processing of data is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest.   This includes special category data - Article 9 (1) (g), Schedule 1 condition 12 of DPA 2018.

Who we share your information with

We share address data with Ofgem for the purposes of processing the household declaration which is a requirement for the funding as Ofgem administers the ECO4 Flex and GBIS Flex schemes.

How long we hold your information

We will retain your data for 3 years after the end of the scheme.

Your data is not subject to automated processing.
