The Fort William Walking and Cycling Wayfinding Project, funded by HITRANS addresses a gap highlighted in the Fort William Active Travel Masterplan.
The project is in the process of creating a clear, colour-coded walking and cycling network across Fort William, supported by new signage and an online journey planner.
The system will make it easier for residents and visitors to navigate safe and attractive routes between key destinations and communities throughout the town from Corpach to Upper Achintore and Torlundy to Glen Nevis. Signage is due to be installed by August 2026 with a project rollout shorty after.
