Thurso Recycling Centre - Recycling facilities

Important information

You can now donate working electrical items for re-use at Thurso Recycling Centre.

If you have old, unused and unwanted electrical items that are still in good working order, pass them on for re-use in the new container. Before donating smart devices, make them safe by following these steps:
1. Back up your data - save your photos, contacts or documents in the cloud, to a personal computer or external backup drive.
2. Delete data - wipe any personal data, then remove SIM or memory cards.
3. Reset device - log out of any accounts & reset the device to factory settings.

Upholstered furniture

The following items must go in a separate container. Please follow signage and site staff instructions. Please do not break this furniture up.

  • Settees, sofas, sofa beds.
  • Armchairs, including electric reclining chairs, home office chairs and upholstered kitchen and dining chairs.
  • Futons, pouffes, upholstered stools and footstools.
  • Beanbags, floor and sofa cushions.
