Smarter assisted living in the Highlands
The FIT House project is developing innovative assisted living solutions to help older people live independently in their communities. It uses advanced digital healthcare technology to reduce the need for hospital or care home admissions.
A dedicated housing cluster will also be built in Inverness to meet the needs of veterans.
FIT House offers:
- monitoring technology
- adaptable modular homes built with low-carbon materials
- data capture and monitoring systems
- personalised support packages
- clinically led evaluation programmes
The project is supported by £3 million in funding from the Scottish Government.
