This initiative aims to carry out land remediation and site servicing works at Longman to unlock the site for future development. The goal is to address the shortage of suitable land for:
- small and medium-sized businesses
- larger inward investment opportunities
The project supports economic growth in Inverness by encouraging employment uses and making land available for development.
The current business case covers site investigation works only. These investigations are a required first step before any remediation can begin and are expected to take around one year.
The project is supported by £10 million in funding from the UK Government.
