Statutory review of polling places and polling stations
We are required by law to review polling districts and polling places regularly. The aim is to make sure voting locations are easy to access, suitable for all voters and have the right facilities

The consultation ran from Monday 2 October to Tuesday 14 November 2023. Thank you to everyone who gave feedback.
What happened next
Final recommendations were presented to the Full Highland Council on Thursday 14 December 2023. These included:
- the Returning Officer’s comments (including cross-boundary feedback)
- representations made during the consultation

Changes to polling places and districts
Following the review, changes have been made to the following polling place:
- Polling district: CC05O
- Previous polling place: Achnasheen Village Hall
- New polling place: Kinlochewe Village Hall, Torridon Road, Kinlochewe, Achnasheen, IV22 2PB
- Reason for change: Achnasheen Village Hall has closed and can no longer be used
- Date approved: 22 January 2025
