Golspie Coast Flood Protection Study
Within the Highland and Argyll Local Flood Risk Management Plans there is an action for us to carry out a Flood Protection Study (FPS) for Golspie.
Consultants AECOM carried out a detailed study of the flooding mechanisms in Golspie and developed a preferred option for alleviating flood risk from the coast. The preferred option consists of raising existing coastal flood defences.
Subject to Scottish Government funding and the outcome of national prioritisation of flood protection schemes, we should progress with the detailed design for the scheme.
