Employee mental health and wellbeing

A mentally healthy workplace

We believe that open conversations about mental health are vital. By challenging stigma and discrimination, we foster a culture of trust where everyone feels safe to speak up and seek support when they need it.

Recognising mental health challenges early allows us to respond with the right support at the right time, helping colleagues feel valued, understood, and empowered.

Supporting positive mental wellbeing

We are committed to promoting positive mental health across our workforce. A wide range of resources and support is available to help staff maintain their wellbeing and thrive at work.

Empowered and informed managers

Our managers play a key role in creating a mentally healthy workplace. They are trained to:

  • recognise early signs of mental distress
  • apply policies fairly and consistently
  • engage with employees proactively
  • provide timely and supportive interventions

By doing so, they help reduce mental health issues and sickness absence, while building a more compassionate and resilient workplace. This training equips managers with the knowledge and confidence to use available tools effectively and consistently - ensuring every employee receives the support they need.
