Regulatory body guidance
Some roles at The Highland Council require registration with a professional or regulatory body. Guidance is available to help guide you through these requirements and ensure any necessary checks are completed before employment.
Social work roles
You must be registered with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or be eligible to register upon appointment.
Teaching roles
Before employment can begin, you must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS).
Disclosure Scotland and Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme
For roles involving regulated work, you may be required to complete a Disclosure check or join the PVG Scheme before we can make a formal offer of employment.
