During a SW incident in Feb the Culvert backed up & overtopped, increasing the Waterlevels of the nearby Essich Burn which lead to multiple properties within the area to be flooded externally. Waterlevels were too high during Insp to conclude the cause of blockage (collapse or debris). 07/05/2024 - Waterlevels had decreased and Inspector was able to look within Culvert. Culvert is blocked with washed down Debris, Leaves & Silt. Inspector unable to remove bulk of Debris during Insp. As Culvert is located under private road, a S18 Letter has been issued to all properties that access via Ness Castle Drive to have Culvert cleared. |
