What happens next
Once a suspected abandoned vehicle has been reported:
- we will investigate the report, but we cannot provide updates or timescales
- there is no legal deadline for investigations
- we aim to act as quickly as possible, but complex investigations may take some time
- our authorised officers will determine whether the vehicle is abandoned
If the vehicle is confirmed as abandoned, we will arrange for a licensed contractor to remove it.
If the vehicle is not abandoned, it will not be removed.
